
Dr Vyjayanti Raghavan is Professor at the Centre for Korean Studies, School of Language, Literature & Culture Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She has a Master’s degree in Korean History from Seoul National University and a PhD from the Department of Disarmament, School of International Studies, JNU. She has been teaching Korean language and culture at JNU since 2000. She has co-authored and edited many books and contributed a number of articles to journals and newspapers.
Awards & Honours
Awarded by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Hwang Gyo-ahn, for her contribution to the development of Hangeul, on 9th October 2015.
Received a Plaque from the Andaman & Nicobar Police in recognition of services rendered towards national security, in the year 2009
International Collaboration/Consultancy
- Member of the Korea Foundation Assembly for their forthcoming international meeting in July 2011.
- Collaboration with Pusan University of Foreign Studies, Korea, for conducting one-semester courses in Hindi and Indian Culture for their students.
- Member of the Executive Committee of the Pacific Asia Conference of Korean Studies.
